Spirit of the White Wyvern

Postby Chorpa on Mon Mar 28, 2011 10:56 am

I was really happy when I found the new adventure Spirit of the White Wyvern adventure to complement The White Wyvern Inn which I already owned. I am thinking about writing a conversion for Classic Fantasy, a monograph for the Basic RolePlaying system. Classic Fantasy itself tries to capture the feel of D&D style playing and the adventure should suit well for that system. I'll probably do this with the help of other Classic Fantasy players I have found on BRP Central and playtest it with my own group.
Why I post this here is to see if there is any interest in that conversion and thought it would be better to contact the source to see if there is a possible way to make it available for the widespread public so I don't break any laws and stuff.

It would be really cool a conversion for Classic Fantasy. If you make it I would gladly put it for download on our website (as long as it doesn't give away any adventure content). You can peek at one of our free Pathfinder conversions for Road to Revolution campaign arc to see how to build a conversion guide. Hmm! I felt a bit restless and planned to write it as a full adventure but with everything adapted for Classic Fantasy. :geek:
But I downloaded the conversion in the link you posted and doing it that way would actually save me a lot of work making a conversion document like that with new stat blocks and a skill translation list.

Have plans of getting more of your adventures (since I like that they are so generic and can be put into almost any campaign world) and do similar conversions since I know the Classic Fantasy community are growing and craving some ready made adventures.

I am pretty sure Chaosium wouldn't mind putting up conversion documents for your adventures either.

Cool! :geek:

It would be really good to allow users to download more adventure conversions, based on the number of downloads we could even decide to publish adventures for other systems...

Taken me some time but have been quite busy and created both a full conversion of the adventure and a conversion document modelled after the Tides of Blood conversion document available.

I am just not sure where to send the conversion document and in what format? The full conversion I will just keep for my own personal use but if interest arises you know where you can get it.

Awesome! You can send it to the address in my signature below

A well formatted .doc file should be enough, we will put it in a nice layout and make it available for download. Can't say when atm, but it should be pretty soon.
